Crosby Solid Wire Rope Thimble S-412

Cast iron solid thimbles are used in rigging and heavy-duty lifting applications to protect wire rope from wear and abrasion at the point of a loop or eye. They create a hard, durable loop (“eye”) in the wire rope, which prevents the rope strands from being crushed and provides a reinforced connection point for attaching other rigging hardware like hooks, shackles, or master links.

Fits pin for open wire rope socket, boom pendant clevis and wedge socket.
Features: Greater protection against wear and deformation of the wire rope eye giving longer service life.
Material: Cast Ductile Iron.
